Jaclyn is an enthusiastic database professional who takes a thoughtful approach to data, working diligently to tailor her approach for both the organization and the end user. She has experience working with teams in all areas of fundraising, including major gifts, campaigns, annual giving, and events. Jaclyn believes that good database processes should be simple to maintain and is always considering ways to add efficiencies using available tools and software.

With a strong background in user training and database strategy, Jaclyn has developed training and resource materials for several organizations. She recognizes that there is rarely one right answer for how to structure database systems and instead works closely with clients to develop strategies that work best for their needs. She has created reports for audiences ranging from Boards and leadership to frontline fundraisers, as well as developed and implemented systems for communication opt ins, direct mail, prospect research, event participants, receipting, and opportunity tracking to mention a few.

Jaclyn has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Calgary and is also a Blackbaud certified Raiser’s Edge/Raiser’s Edge NXT professional. Prior to directing her focus to donor databases, Jaclyn worked in numerous fundraising roles involving administration, events, and communications.

In her post 5 o’clock life, Jaclyn enjoys spending time with her mini poodle, Felix and trying out new brunch spots with her partner. She loves plants, but they don’t always love her back - one of her goals in life is to keep a fern thriving through all four Calgary seasons.
